ORIGINS
What has it taken to make the ROCCE HOMES project a success?
The answer: a blend of enthusiasm, flair and wide-ranging skills, but first and foremost, the bonds of a close friendship shared by its founders Marina, Vincenzo and Luca.
Their paths crossed many moons ago on a sandy cove called Le Rocce di Pinamare, set among the rocky reefs of Andora where they used to spend their carefree summers when they were young. This familiar setting along the Ligurian coastline gradually developed into a perfect picture of precious childhood and adolescent memories.
Like the typical rugged rocks that immortalise their beloved beach, the bond between them has remained firm over time, even though the tides of life have delivered them to diverse and unexpected destinations.
Their shared passion for enhancing the tangible and intangible appeal of the delightful lands where they grew up, combined with their creative energy and Vincenzo’s engineering expertise, drove them towards a common dream: resurrecting an exceptional residence among the Hills of Piedmont, a place where stories are born and live on.
Stories that are bound by euphoria in the present, a drive for the future, and unshakeable memories that each of us bear in our hearts. In other words, stories like theirs.
The very place where they decided to launch their project provides that element of continuity with the regular haunts of their youth. Strange as it may seem, Roero was a coastal area from six to two million years ago, so its land was born from briny depths, where you can still find fossils of shells and small fish.
Roero became the place where bonds are nurtured, ideas take shape, and dreams become possible. A few months of exploration, the discovery of the first abandoned farmhouse (which would soon become Casa San Grato), and the die was cast.
This first concerted campaign was aimed at creating a place suitable to welcome families and guests of all ages, whereas the concept that saw the birth of Casa Clara was that of a refuge for romance.
Casa Gallo, the third and most recent project, focuses on large groups of guests with shared interests: the villa can be a base for lovers of good food and fine wines, an oasis for those seeking to commune with nature and a temple of serenity for yoga devotees.
The initiative to breathe new life into the abandoned old farmhouses of Roero has been warmly embraced by the local community and has involved winemakers, local producers, artisans, public officials, and more. Promoting a type of sustainable tourism focused on authentic experiences truly embodies a promise of territorial rebirth. The strong support network that has been created has contributed to bringing that touch of sincere passion that made this collective dream possible.
This journey stems from the desire to push beyond the ordinary, from the value of simplicity combined with a deep care for detail. ROCCE HOMES is not just a brand: it is an initiative that carries with it the roots of a sincere bond and the desire to inspire others. After all, these villas were conceived as a promise of beauty and authenticity. Just like those unforgettable summers that Marina, Vincenzo, and Luca shared together on Pinamare beach.
